Designed to sit alongside professional procurement rather than replace it.
Keep the client relationship intact
The client controls project publication and approves introductions. BuildConnect does not become the architect, contract administrator or designer for the project.
Reach experienced contractors
Contractors can provide company history, service areas, project-value range, insurance information and experience evidence before clients decide who to engage.
Use alongside your own tender list
There is no exclusivity. BuildConnect can be used when you want additional suitable firms without replacing established procurement procedures.
Typical opportunities
- Architect-designed house extensions
- Whole-house refurbishment
- Structural alterations
- High-end residential projects
- Commercial refurbishment and fit-out
- Projects moving from planning into construction
Professional identity can be checked without implying endorsement.
Architect applicants can provide an ARB registration number for verification. BuildConnect records the check as factual professional information only and does not imply that ARB endorses BuildConnect, the professional or any contractor.
BuildConnect UK is independent and does not claim endorsement by ARB, RICS or any other professional body.
Use BuildConnect when your client needs additional contractor interest.
Prepare the scope
Use drawings, surveys, specifications, value, programme and project constraints to give contractors a clearer basis for deciding whether the opportunity fits.
Keep the client in control
The client or authorised representative controls publication and decides which contractor introductions are approved.
Supplement your tender list
BuildConnect can provide another route to contractor interest without replacing professional procurement, evaluation or appointment responsibilities.
Does BuildConnect replace an architect's tender process?
No. It can supplement an existing contractor list or provide another controlled route to contractor interest. The architect and client remain responsible for their own procurement and appointment process.
Can an architect refer a client without becoming responsible for the contractor?
Yes. A referral to the platform does not itself endorse a contractor or create an agency relationship. Clients remain responsible for appointment decisions and due diligence.
Is there a referral fee for architects?
There is no fee simply for joining the professional network or referring a client at launch. Any future commercial arrangement would need separate clear terms and appropriate disclosure.
Join before the founding launch closes.
Approved launch members can secure early professional visibility, use the controlled referral route and participate in the professional network while it is being established. Once launch onboarding closes, new applications move to the standard professional route.
