BuildConnect UK is operated by Oberon Engineering Ltd. This agreement is accepted separately for each controlled introduction and the accepted version, commission rate and document hash are recorded.
1. The contractor requests an introduction to the client for the identified project.
2. The contractor agrees that if it, an associated company, or a person acting on its behalf is awarded work arising from this introduction within 18 months of the introduction date, the agreed success commission is payable to the platform.
3. The commission rate is the rate stored against the introduction request and accepted before client contact details are released.
4. Unless a project-specific agreement states otherwise, the commissionable contract value is the value of work awarded to the contractor excluding VAT and excluding expressly identified client-supplied items.
5. Variations, additional phases or directly negotiated additions that arise from the same introduced project are commissionable where the project-specific agreement states they are included.
6. The contractor must notify the platform promptly after appointment and provide reasonable evidence of the awarded contract value on request.
7. The platform is an introduction marketplace and is not a party to the building contract between client and contractor.
8. The contractor remains responsible for its own competence, insurance, legal compliance, tender, pricing, programme, workmanship and contractual obligations.
9. Commission invoices are payable in accordance with the invoice terms displayed on the platform. VAT is added only where the platform is VAT registered and VAT is legally chargeable.
10. This click acceptance is recorded with the account, date/time, agreement version and technical audit data.
