The reviewed network is opening gradually.
Contractors must opt in and have their experience evidence reviewed before appearing here. Clients and professionals can still post suitable projects while the directory grows.
Post a projectExperience review is separate from company verification and project suitability.
Company identity
Companies House information and the BuildConnect company-verification process establish business identity and status. That check does not by itself establish the depth of a contractor's delivery experience.
Market experience
The experienced network requires at least 10 years relevant market experience plus supporting information that BuildConnect can review. The review records experience evidence; it is not a blanket guarantee of competence for every type of project.
Project-specific due diligence
Clients and professional advisers should still examine comparable projects, management resources, references, insurance, health and safety arrangements, programme capacity, tender scope and the requirements of the specific appointment.
Experience matters most when it is relevant to your project.
A long trading history alone does not make a contractor suitable. Use the directory as a starting point, then compare relevant project experience, service area, resources, insurance, references, programme capacity and quotation scope before appointment.
Use experience as one part of prequalification.
Architects, surveyors and designers should still review project-specific capability, references, insurance, management resources and tender information.
